Terms of use

Haws AI is run by Morus Williams, a sole trader in Wales. Using the app means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use it. Contact us at morus.llew@icloud.com.

Haws AI can mark your long answers automatically. That mark is provisional practice feedback. It is produced by a language model, it can be wrong, and it is not an examiner's mark. It does not predict your grade and it has no standing in any real assessment.

Do not rely on it as your only judge of whether an answer is good. If a mark matters, have a teacher look at it.

Haws AI is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by WJEC/CBAC or any other awarding body. Where exam board names, specifications or past paper material appear, they are referred to for study purposes and remain the property of their owners. Nothing here is official exam board material.

You must be 13 or over to have an account. You agree to:

• give a real email address you can access
• keep your password to yourself and not let anyone else use your account
• tell us if you think someone else has got into it

Teacher accounts are granted on a recognised school email domain, or by approval from us. Asking for a teacher account does not grant one, and pretending to be a teacher is a reason for us to close your account.

• upload anything unlawful, abusive, or that you have no right to share
• try to get the AI marker to award marks it should not, or to behave in ways it is not meant to
• scrape, bulk-download, or resell the question bank or any other content
• attempt to reach another user's data, or to get round the app's security
• use the service to harass anyone or to cheat in a real assessment

Submitting AI-generated work as your own in a real qualification is exam malpractice. Haws AI is for practice and revision; what you do with it in a formal assessment is between you and your school and exam board.

Your notes, flashcards and answers belong to you. You give us only the permission we need to run the service — to store your work, show it back to you, and send it to be marked when you ask for that. We do not claim ownership of it and we do not use it to train AI models.

The app itself — its design, its code, and the question bank — belongs to us and may not be copied or redistributed.

We try to keep Haws AI running, but it is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available at all times, free of faults, or that the AI will always be able to mark your work. Features may change or be removed. If we discontinue the service we will give reasonable notice so you can get your work out.

We are liable to you for foreseeable loss caused by us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not liable for exam results, grades, or academic outcomes — no revision tool can be, and the AI marking in particular is explicitly practice feedback.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

You can stop using Haws AI at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing morus.llew@icloud.com. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why first.

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and we will tell you in the app about anything significant. Continuing to use Haws AI after a change means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK you keep the protection of your local consumer law.
